Okay, so this is one of those early 2000s Shaman King tie-in games for the Game Boy Color—specifically a card battler based on the anime. You start off picking a spirit (I went with Amidamaru because, well, samurai ghost), and then it’s basically a simplified version of the manga’s fights: draw cards, summon your dudes, and try to outmaneuver the opponent’s board. The pixel art’s decent for GBC, with little attack animations that actually make the spirits feel alive.
It’s Japan-only, so unless you’re fluent, expect some menu fumbling. The card effects aren’t too complex, though, and after a couple matches, you’ll get the hang of stacking attacks or when to hold back for a bigger play. Not exactly a deep TCG, but if you’re into Shaman King or just weird retro anime games, it’s a neat time capsule.
