Shaman King: Legacy of the Spirits - Sprinting Wolf is basically a GBA take on Pokémon, but with shamans and spirits instead of pocket monsters. You start off picking your guardian ghost—I went with Amidamaru because, well, samurai spirits are cool—and then it’s all about battling other shamans, collecting spirits, and pulling off those flashy oversoul moves.

The sprites are surprisingly crisp for a GBA game, and the fights actually feel pretty tactical, especially when you’re juggling spirit types. Some of the dialogue’s a little cheesy, but if you’re into the anime or just want a solid monster-collecting RPG with a different flavor, it’s a fun ride. Just don’t expect it to dethrone Pokémon.
