Shadowgate Classic is one of those old-school point-and-click adventures that’ll either make you feel like a genius or leave you totally stumped—no in-between. You’re dropped into this eerie castle full of traps, puzzles, and cryptic clues, and half the fun is figuring out whether you should light that torch or just walk straight into the darkness (spoiler: usually light the torch).
The Game Boy Color version keeps the same grim atmosphere as the original, just with a little extra color to make all those sudden deaths slightly more cheerful. Expect a lot of trial and error, some seriously obscure item combinations, and that satisfying "aha!" moment when you finally solve a puzzle that’s had you stuck for way too long.
It’s not for everyone—if you hate reading descriptions or overthinking every click, you might bounce off hard. But if you love classic adventure games with a dark fantasy vibe, this one’s a solid time capsule.
