Okay, so imagine a Game Boy Color sports game, but instead of realistic athletes, you've got Elmo dunking basketballs and Big Bird sprinting in a track race. It's exactly as ridiculous and charming as it sounds.
The controls are simple—this was clearly made for kids—but there's something weirdly satisfying about seeing Cookie Monster absolutely demolish a home run or Grover doing a perfect dive. The pixel art is bright and colorful, and the whole thing feels like a sugar rush in cartridge form.
It won't replace your favorite sports sim, but if you grew up with Sesame Street, it’s a nostalgia trip with just enough silly fun to make it worth a play. I still can’t decide if Oscar the Grouch’s grumpy commentary is annoying or weirdly motivating.
