Scurge Hive came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, developed by Orbital Media. You play as Jenosa Arma, a bounty hunter who accepts a mission that goes wrong, leaving her trapped in a massive, contaminated research facility in space.

You guide Jenosa through the station's interconnected rooms, clearing them screen by screen of a parasitic organism known as the Scurge. Your main goal is to destroy the hive heart, the source of the infection, while the Scurge itself is slowly taking over Jenosa's body, shown by an infection meter. Key mechanics include switching between a close-range energy whip and a long-range blaster to handle different enemies and environmental puzzles. You also collect data cells to upgrade your equipment and unlock new areas, creating a steady loop of exploration and combat. The game maintains a consistent pace, with the rising infection level adding a layer of tension to your exploration. Moving through the sterile, hostile environments while managing your dwindling health makes for a tense and methodical experience.
