Oh man, Sangokushi Eiketsuden on GBA—this one's a hidden gem if you're into classic Koei strategy games. It's part of their Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, but with that portable GBA flavor. You start off picking your warlord (I always go for Cao Cao because he's got the best stats, but Liu Bei's story hits different) and then it's all about managing territories, recruiting officers, and those tense turn-based battles.
The sprites are tiny but charming, and there's something satisfying about watching your little army squares clash on the overworld map. It's got that classic Koei depth—you'll be balancing food supplies, loyalty, and weather effects while trying not to get ambushed by Lu Bu. The Japanese text can be rough if you're not fluent, but the icons and menus are intuitive enough to stumble through.
Definitely one for strategy fans who don't mind squinting at a GBA screen for hours. Just don't expect Dynasty Warriors action—this is chess with a Three Kingdoms skin.
