Salt Lake 2002 is one of those early 2000s GBA sports games that somehow makes pixelated snowboarding and skiing feel legit. You pick from a handful of winter events—downhill, slalom, halfpipe—and the controls are simple but surprisingly responsive for a handheld game. The graphics are what you’d expect from a GBA title, but the sense of speed when you’re bombing down the slopes actually holds up.

It’s not super deep, but nailing a clean run or pulling off a last-second trick before the finish line still feels satisfying. The AI isn’t brutal, so you can ease into it without getting wrecked immediately.
