About Rockman Exe 4 : Tournament Red Sun

Rockman EXE 4: Tournament Red Sun came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed and published by Capcom. It was part of that wave of GBA titles that really tried to merge different genres, in this case blending a top-down adventure with card-based combat. You play as a kid named Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, navigating both the real world and the cyberspace of the net.

You control Lan in the real world, moving screen by screen to talk to people and find your next objective, while in cyberspace you control MegaMan directly, fighting viruses and solving puzzles. The main goal is to win a global NetBattle tournament, which pushes you through a series of themed areas and boss fights. The combat uses a real-time battle system where you select Battle Chips from a custom folder; you build your deck from hundreds of chips you find or earn, and the fights happen on a 3x6 grid that splits between your side and the enemy's. The game is structured around tournament rounds, so there's a clear cycle of preparation, exploration, and then a high-stakes battle. It feels tense and strategic when you're in a fight, trying to time your chip selections while dodging enemy attacks on the grid.
