About Robots (u)(venom)
I picked up Robots for the Game Boy Advance around its release in 2005, a game published by Vivendi Universal Games based on the animated film. It was one of many licensed platformers on the system, a familiar sight on store shelves during that era.
You control Rodney Copperbottom, navigating him through side scrolling levels viewed from the side. Your main goal is to progress through each stage, fighting enemy robots and avoiding environmental hazards. The gameplay involves straightforward platform jumping, using a basic attack to defeat foes, and collecting bolts scattered everywhere. The levels are linear, moving from left to right with occasional vertical sections, and the difficulty is generally manageable, aimed at a younger audience. It feels like a simple, uncomplicated run and jump experience.
