If you grew up with Robotech, this GBA shooter is a nostalgia trip—you’re basically reliving the Macross Saga through the eyes of the pilots, blasting through waves of enemy mechs in classic side-scrolling action. The controls are tight, and the sprite work actually holds up pretty well for a GBA title.

First mission throws you right into the chaos: transforming your Veritech between fighter and battloid modes mid-combat while dodging a ridiculous amount of enemy fire. Took me a few tries to stop faceplanting into buildings, but once it clicks, weaving through bullets feels surprisingly smooth. The story’s condensed, sure, but they nailed the key moments—you’ll recognize the big battles instantly.
