Play Robot Wars : Extreme Destruction Online

I picked up Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002. It was developed by Crawfish Interactive, a name I recognized from a few other portable titles at the time. This was during that period when the GBA library was really expanding, offering all sorts of genres beyond the usual platformers and RPGs. This one was squarely in the arena combat niche, a pocket version of the robot fighting you might have seen on TV.

You control a heavyweight robot, customizing its chassis and weapons before entering a series of combat arenas. The main objective is to destroy the opposing robot before it does the same to you, either by depleting its health or flipping it over so it cannot self-right. Signature mechanics include using a selection of powered weapons, like spinning discs and hydraulic flippers, and managing your robot's power reserves, which drain with every attack and movement. The pacing is deliberate; you circle each other, looking for an opening to strike a vulnerable side or back panel. Matches can be difficult, as a single well-placed hit from a powerful weapon can cripple your machine. It feels like a tense, tactical shoving match where one mistake can send you tumbling out of the fight.
