About Roadsters Trophy
Roadsters Trophy came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by Titus Interactive. It was part of that wave of portable racing games trying to capture some of the arcade feel on the small screen, a straightforward entry you could pop into your GBC without much fuss.
You pick a car and driver, then race on tracks that loop through different environments. The main goal is to win the championship by placing first across a series of cups. Key mechanics include collecting power-ups scattered on the track, like speed boosts or offensive items to slow down opponents, and managing a turbo meter for short bursts of speed. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the AI can be quite aggressive, making it challenging to hold the lead. It feels like a quick, chaotic scramble from start to finish.
