About Reservoir Rats
Reservoir Rats was a Game Boy Color release from 2000, developed by Bits Studios and published by Ubisoft. It arrived late in the system's life, a time when developers were pushing the hardware with more ambitious action games. You control a member of a rodent special forces team, tasked with stopping a villain named M.A.M.M.A. from turning the city's water supply into a mind control serum.
You guide your chosen rat through a series of side scrolling levels, shooting enemies with a variety of weapons you find along the way. The main goal is to fight through each stage, defeat the boss, and rescue your captured teammates. Signature mechanics include switching between different rodent characters, each with unique abilities; you might use one rat to climb certain walls and another to plant explosives.
