Rampage 2: Universal Tour came out for the Game Boy Color in 1999, published by Midway. It was part of that wave of arcade ports and sequels that tried to fit a big screen experience into your pocket. You controlled one of three giant monsters, George the gorilla, Lizzie the lizard, or Ralph the wolf, and your goal was simple: destroy every city you could find.

You moved your monster from one side of the screen to the other, punching buildings until they crumbled into dust. Eating people who ran out gave you health back, and you had to watch for military vehicles and helicopters that shot at you. The main objective was to survive long enough to cause enough destruction to move on to the next city, and eventually, the next planet. The game was repetitive by design, but there was a strange satisfaction in methodically tearing down a skyscraper floor by floor. It felt like a chaotic, straightforward release of pure destruction.
