Qix Adventure on Game Boy Color is that weird little puzzle game you didn’t know you needed. You start off drawing lines to claim chunks of the screen while these floaty, unpredictable enemies try to wreck you mid-line. Mess up, and you lose a life—simple as that. But the more space you claim, the more satisfying it gets, especially when you pull off a risky move and barely dodge some neon nightmare.
The color upgrade from the original Qix makes a difference—everything pops in that classic GBC palette, and the faster stages actually feel tense. First time I played, I got cocky and tried to claim too much at once… instant regret. It’s one of those games where you’ll restart immediately after losing just to do slightly better.
If you like quick, punishing puzzles with a retro vibe, this one’s solid. Just don’t blame me when you get obsessed with clearing 80% of the screen in one go.
