Okay, so Pyuu To Fuku! Jaguar is one of those weird little GBA games that somehow makes throwing glasses at people feel like an Olympic sport. You play as this dude with a jaguar head (because why not?) who can puff up his cheeks to float around levels—until you sneeze and launch your glasses like a projectile weapon. It’s as ridiculous as it sounds, and I love it.
The first level throws you right into this neon-drenched city where you’re bouncing off umbrellas, dodging sentai-style villains, and collecting… I don’t even know, floating sushi? The controls take a second to click—holding B to inflate feels awkward at first—but once you get the rhythm of puff-sneeze-repeat, it’s weirdly satisfying. Also, the soundtrack slaps. Like, unironically good chiptune beats.
It’s not some deep narrative masterpiece, but if you’re into games that don’t take themselves seriously and have mechanics you won’t find anywhere else, this one’s a blast. Just don’t blame me when you’re muttering “pyuu to fuku” under your breath for days.
