About Puzzled (europe) (en,fr,de)
Puzzled came out for the Game Boy Color in 1999, published by Infogrames. It was part of that wave of handheld puzzle games that were perfect for short sessions, a common sight alongside more action oriented titles on the platform.
You control a small character navigating single screen rooms filled with colored blocks. Your main goal is to clear each stage by pushing every block of a specific color into matching holes in the floor. The mechanics are straightforward: you push blocks one at a time, but you cannot pull them, so planning your route is essential. If you push a block against a wall or another block, it gets stuck, and you often have to reset the room. The game starts simply but the puzzles quickly demand more foresight, turning into complex logistical problems. It feels satisfying to finally see the path through a cluttered screen.
