About Puzzle Master
Puzzle Master came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, a time when handheld puzzle games were a staple. I don't recall the developer offhand, but it fit right in with other thoughtful, screen based challenges from that era. It was a solid entry, not particularly flashy, but it had a clear purpose.
You control a small character moving through discrete rooms, each one a self contained logic problem. Your main goal is to reach the exit door in every stage, which often requires moving blocks, activating switches, or avoiding hazards. The mechanics are straightforward; you push crates onto pressure plates to open paths, and you collect keys to unlock corresponding barriers. The pacing is deliberate, demanding you stop and plan your moves carefully, as a single wrong push can sometimes force a restart. It feels satisfying to finally see the solution click into place after staring at the screen for a while.
