Puzzle Bobble Millennium came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, published by Taito. It was part of that wave of late-era GBC titles that squeezed a bit more life out of the hardware before the Advance arrived. You control a little dragon at the bottom of the screen who shoots colored bubbles upward. Your main goal is to clear each screen of bubbles by matching three or more of the same color. The key mechanics are aiming your shots carefully and using the walls to bank bubbles into tricky spots; when you clear a group, any bubbles hanging loose from the ceiling will fall away. The game starts gently but the pace picks up as the ceiling slowly descends, adding pressure. It feels satisfying to set off a big chain reaction and watch a whole section of the playfield collapse at once.
