About Puzz Loop (japan)
Puzz Loop for the Game Boy Color came out in Japan in 2000, developed by Mitchell Corporation. It was one of many puzzle games on the system, a time when developers were experimenting with new ways to fit complex mechanics onto a small screen.
You control a fixed cannon at the bottom of the screen, aiming and firing colored marbles onto a winding track filled with a moving chain of other marbles. Your main objective is to prevent this chain from reaching the end of the path by creating groups of three or more matching colors, which then disappear. The game's signature mechanics involve setting up chain reactions to clear large sections at once and using special marbles that can clear an entire color when matched. The pace is methodical at first, but the tracks get more intricate and the marbles move faster, demanding quick planning. It feels satisfying to watch a well-placed shot unravel a crowded screen just before it overwhelms you.
