Psycho Fox Game

Psycho Fox on the Sega Master System is one of those weird, colorful platformers that feels like it was designed by someone who had too much coffee. You play as this hyper fox who can switch between different animal forms—monkey, hippo, and something else I always forget—each with their own dumb little abilities. The monkey jumps higher, the hippo smashes stuff, and honestly, I mostly just stuck with the fox because he runs fast.
The levels are bright and chaotic, full of enemies that pop up in the dumbest places, and the controls take a second to get used to. It’s not as tight as, say, Sonic, but there’s something charming about how janky it feels. By the third stage, you’ll either be hooked or ready to throw your controller at the wall. Either way, it’s a weird little time capsule from when platformers didn’t take themselves too seriously.
