Psychic World Game

Psychic World on the Sega Master System is one of those weird little platformers that sticks with you. You play as Lucia, a psychic who can shoot energy blasts and hover for a second—which sounds simple until you realize how much that tiny float helps when dodging enemies. The levels are packed with these odd little puzzles where you’ve gotta use your powers just right, like blasting switches or timing jumps over pits.
It’s got that classic ‘80s anime vibe, with spiky-haired villains and a soundtrack that’s equal parts synth and mystery. Some of the platforming gets brutal, especially later on, but there’s something satisfying about nailing a tricky section after a few tries. And yeah, it’s obscure—most people missed it back in the day—but that just makes stumbling onto it now feel like digging up a secret. If you’re into retro games with a twist, this one’s worth booting up.
