Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time on GBA is one of those rare handheld ports that actually does justice to the console version. You’ve got the same fluid wall-runs, dagger-driven time rewinds, and those tense moments where you barely dodge a spike trap—just shrunk down for on-the-go play. The animations are surprisingly smooth for a GBA title, and the way the Prince flips between ledges still feels satisfying even years later.
What really stands out is how they adapted the time mechanics. Rewinding a bad jump or a mistimed sword swing never gets old, though the puzzles can be brutal if you’re not paying attention. And yeah, the story’s still cheesy in that early-2000s way ("No, no, that’s not how it happened!"), but it’s part of the charm. If you’ve got a soft spot for classic action-platformers, this one’s worth dusting off.
