Prehistorik Man came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Titus. It was part of that early wave of GBA titles that brought colorful, side scrolling action to a handheld screen. You play as a caveman whose entire stash of food has been stolen, setting up a simple but direct premise for the adventure ahead.

You guide your character through a series of themed levels, moving screen by screen. Your main goal is to hunt for food and collect items, but you are constantly interrupted by hostile dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. You fight them off with a large club, which has a satisfying weight to its swing, and you can also find temporary power ups like a slingshot for ranged attacks. The levels are packed with secrets and alternate paths, encouraging some backtracking once you acquire new abilities. The pacing is generally brisk, though some enemy placements can feel cheap, leading to sudden hits. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes clumsy, but consistently energetic platformer from that era.
