About Power Strike (usa, Europe)
Power Strike was released for the Sega Master System in Western territories, developed by Compile. It is the first game in their Aleste series of shooters, arriving during a period when the console was building its library with arcade-style experiences.
You pilot a small, nimble spacecraft through vertically scrolling stages filled with enemy formations and bullet patterns. Your main objective is to survive each level, defeat the boss at the end, and ultimately clear all eight stages. A signature mechanic is collecting power-up capsules to enhance your main shot and add options, which are floating pods that mirror your firepower. You can also strategically position these options to cover blind spots or concentrate fire.
