Power Rangers Dino Thunder on the GBA is exactly what you'd expect—a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up where you punch, kick, and morph your way through waves of enemies. The pixel art actually holds up pretty well, especially when you trigger the Dino Thunder suits. Feels a little stiff compared to something like Streets of Rage, but smashing Putty Patrol clones with a T-Rex-themed power punch never gets old.
You start off with basic combos, but unlocking the special moves (like the Brachio Staff) makes the later levels way more fun. The boss fights are the highlight—some of them get surprisingly creative with the dinosaur motifs. Just don’t expect a deep story; it’s pure Saturday morning cartoon energy.
If you grew up on Power Rangers or just want a simple, nostalgic brawler, this one’s a solid pick for short bursts.
