Power Rangers Dino Thunder on GBA is exactly what you'd expect—a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up where you punch, kick, and morph your way through waves of enemies. The pixel art holds up surprisingly well, especially when you trigger the Dino Thunder suits and the screen flashes with that signature power-up sequence.
You start off as Connor, the Red Ranger, but eventually unlock the whole team, each with their own slightly different moves. The combos are simple (mash A, basically), but there’s something satisfying about plowing through Putty Patrollers with a flurry of spin kicks. Boss fights are where it gets interesting—some of them actually make you think for half a second before spamming your special attack.
It’s not reinventing the genre, but if you grew up with the show or just want some mindless brawling, this one’s a solid time-killer. The music even nails that early 2000s Power Rangers vibe.
