You start off picking your team (I always go for the underdogs because where’s the fun in steamrolling everyone?), and within minutes you’re deep in a tight game, sweating over pitch selection and timing your swings just right.

The chunky pixel art somehow makes every hit satisfying, whether it’s a blooper single or a moonshot homer. And yeah, the AI actually puts up a fight—no lazy pop flies here. My first game ended with a walk-off bunt because I panicked in the bottom of the ninth. Classic.

There’s a tournament mode that’ll chew up an afternoon if you let it, plus you can tweak your lineup and train players between games.
