Pop’n Music GB: Disney Tunes is one of those weird little Game Boy Color gems that somehow makes rhythm games work on a tiny screen. You’ve got Mickey, Donald, and a bunch of other Disney characters bouncing around while you tap buttons to classic Disney tunes—think "Under the Sea" or "Be Our Guest," but pixelated and slightly tinny (in the best way).
The timing’s surprisingly tight for a handheld rhythm game, and the sprites are charmingly chunky. It’s not as deep as the arcade Pop’n Music games, but there’s something oddly satisfying about nailing a combo while Goofy does a little jig in the corner. Just don’t expect modern touchscreen precision—this is pure late-'90s button mashing with a Disney coat of paint.
If you’ve got a soft spot for old-school rhythm games or Disney nostalgia, it’s a fun little time capsule. The music’s still catchy, even through Game Boy speakers.
