Pop Idol (e)(evlstar) Game

Pop Idol on the GBA is one of those weird little rhythm games that somehow ended up on handhelds in the early 2000s. You're basically tapping buttons to the beat while your pixelated pop star performs—think Dance Dance Revolution but with way more awkward sprite animations. The song selection's a mixed bag, but there's something oddly charming about how janky the whole thing feels.
First few minutes? You pick a character (none of them look particularly cool), mash through some painfully generic dialogue, and then suddenly you're in a concert where the crowd cheers like they're hearing Mozart when you hit a "Perfect" note. The timing's kinda strict, so don't expect to breeze through unless you've got rhythm game reflexes.
It's not gonna replace your favorite music game, but if you're into obscure GBA oddities, this one's a trip. The fact that it exists at all is half the fun.
