Polly Pocket Super Splash Island is one of those weird little GBA games that somehow sticks with you. You start off on this tropical island where Polly and her friends are just vibing—until, of course, things go sideways. The whole thing plays like a mix of mini-games and light platforming, with a surprising amount of water-themed chaos for a handheld title.
First thing you’ll notice? The colors. Bright pinks, blues, and yellows everywhere, like someone dumped a bucket of highlighters into the ocean. You’re running around collecting gems, dodging waves, and occasionally hopping on dolphins (because why not?). Some of the mini-games are hit or miss, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the jet-ski race—even if the controls feel a little slippery.
It’s not deep, but it’s the kind of game you’d pop in for 15 minutes between bus rides and end up weirdly invested in. The music’s got that early 2000s synth-cheerfulness that makes you nostalgic even if you never played it as a kid.
