Pokémon Platino is basically Diamond and Pearl but way better—like they actually fixed the slow battles and added some cool stuff. You start in Twinleaf Town (classic), pick your starter, and immediately get sucked into exploring Sinnoh, which feels way bigger than you remember. The Pokédex got expanded, so there’s more to catch, and Giratina’s whole Distortion World section is just… weird in the best way.
Battles still drag a tiny bit, but not as bad as the originals. And the new Wi-Fi Plaza? Kinda janky, but fun if you’ve got friends playing. The story’s the same gym grind, but Cyrus and Team Galactic actually feel like a threat this time. If you’ve only played Diamond/Pearl, this is the definitive Sinnoh experience. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand—you’ll be grinding Geodudes in caves for hours.
