About Pocket Racing
Pocket Racing came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, published by Infogrames. It was part of that wave of portable racers trying to capture some of the arcade feel on the small screen. You got a lot of these straightforward driving games back then, titles you could just pick up and play without much fuss.
You control a small, top-down car from an overhead perspective, navigating tight tracks that scroll by screen by screen. The main goal is simple: finish each race in first place. Your main tools are a turbo boost you can activate for a short burst of speed and the ability to drift around corners, which is essential for maintaining momentum on the twisty circuits.
