Okay, so this GBA version of Planet of the Apes is weirdly nothing like the PlayStation one—same box art, totally different game. You play as this human astronaut (not Heston) crash-landing on the ape planet, and right away you're sneaking through jungles and ruins while gorillas with spears try to hunt you down. The vibe's more action-adventure than the movie, with some clunky platforming and weirdly satisfying whip combat.
Fun detail: the apes actually throw rocks at you from off-screen, which I wasn’t expecting. Graphics are decent for GBA, though the human faces look… unsettling. If you dig the franchise, it’s a neat curiosity, but don’t go in expecting a masterpiece. Just watch out for those ambush traps in the later levels.
