Pitfall - Beyond The Jungle on Game Boy Color is one of those late-era 2D platformers that tried to keep the classic Pitfall vibe alive. You're still swinging on vines and dodging traps, but the graphics got a nice little GBC color boost compared to the old Atari days. It's not as flashy as the PlayStation version with the same name—just straightforward jungle hopping with some hidden treasures to find if you're patient.
First few minutes? You'll be testing jumps over pits (of course), figuring out which ledges crumble underfoot, and getting used to the slightly floaty controls. The music's got that classic adventure feel, though after a while you might wish the levels had a bit more variety. Still, not bad for a pocket-sized Pitfall fix.
