I picked up Pirates of the Caribbean for the Game Boy Advance back in 2003, a Disney Interactive title that came out during a time when handhelds were full of these movie tie-ins. It was one of those games you'd see on the shelf, hoping it captured some of the adventure from the films without being a clunky mess.

You control Will Turner, navigating through screen-by-screen areas that feel like a series of connected rooms. The main goal is to rescue Elizabeth Swann, which sends you through towns, caves, and onto ship decks. You use a sword for combat, with a simple attack and block system, and you also solve environmental puzzles, often by finding keys or moving objects to progress. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some sections can be tricky with enemy placement. It feels like a condensed adventure, a straightforward quest you can chip away at in short sessions.
