Pirates Of The Caribbean : The Curse Of The Black Pearl Game
📅 2003 ✍️ Pocket Studios

Okay, so this GBA game is basically you playing as Jack Sparrow—complete with the drunken swagger—while hacking and slashing your way through cursed pirates. The swordplay’s simple but satisfying, and the sprites actually do a decent job of capturing the movie’s vibe, even on the tiny screen.
You’ll start off sneaking around Port Royal, then quickly get thrown into ship battles and undead brawls. The controls take a minute to get used to (why does rolling feel so stiff?), but once you’re parrying and countering, it clicks. And yeah, the soundtrack sneaks in bits of the movie theme, which is a nice touch.
It’s not the deepest action game, but if you’re into pirate stuff or just want to relive the movie’s chaos, it’s a solid little time-killer. Just don’t expect any rum mini-games—Jack would be disappointed.
