Pinobee: Wings of Adventure is one of those GBA games that feels like it got lost in the shuffle—which is a shame, because it’s got this weird, cozy charm. You play as a tiny robot bee (yes, really) flitting through these bright, slightly surreal levels, bouncing off flowers and dodging mechanical bugs. The controls take a minute to get used to—Pinobee hovers more than he flies, so you’re always feathering the button to stay airborne.
What surprised me was how much personality it has. The music’s got this dreamy synth vibe, and the puzzles are just tricky enough to make you pause mid-flight. It’s not super hard, but there’s something satisfying about nailing a long dash through a tight corridor or finally figuring out how to unlock that one hidden area. If you’re into early 2000s platformers with a side of oddball charm, this one’s worth dusting off.
