Pinobee & Phoebee is one of those GBA games that feels like it flew under the radar, but it’s got this weirdly charming vibe. You play as Pinobee, a little robotic bee with a propeller hat (because why not?), and his buddy Phoebee tags along for the ride. The controls are simple—jump, hover, and bonk enemies—but the levels get surprisingly tricky with hidden paths and some light puzzle-solving.
What I love is how bright and cheerful everything looks, like a Saturday morning cartoon. The enemies are these goofy little bugs and robots, and the music has that classic GBA bounciness. At first, I thought it’d be super easy, but some of those later stages? Yeah, they’ll make you sweat a little. It’s the kind of game you pick up for a quick play session and end up finishing in one sitting.
If you’re into platformers with personality, this one’s a solid choice.
