Pinobee - Wings of Adventure is one of those GBA platformers that flew under the radar but has this weird charm to it. You play as this little bee-bot hybrid thing, bouncing around colorful levels with floaty jumps and some light puzzle-solving. The controls take a minute to get used to—your wings give you this slow, hovering descent that feels awkward at first, but once it clicks, you start nailing those tricky landings.
It’s got that early 2000s platformer vibe where everything’s bright and slightly janky in a way that’s endearing. The music’s cheery, the enemies are these cutesy bugs and robots, and there’s just enough hidden stuff to make backtracking feel worth it. Not gonna lie, some of the later levels get frustrating with the precision jumps, but it’s the kind of game you keep retrying because the art style’s so dang pleasant.
If you’re into obscure GBA games with personality, this one’s a solid pick.
