Pinky Monkey Town came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2000, a time when the handheld was filling up with all sorts of experimental platformers and puzzle games. I don't remember who made it, but it had that distinct look and feel of an early GBA title, trying to figure out what the new hardware could do. You control a small, pink monkey navigating a series of single screen rooms. The main goal is to collect all the bananas in a stage to unlock the exit door. Your main tools are a jump that feels a bit floaty and the ability to grab onto certain vines or poles. The challenge comes from the stage layouts themselves; you have to figure out the correct sequence of jumps and swings to reach the higher platforms without falling. Some levels introduce moving platforms or enemies that reset your position if they touch you. It's a methodical game, more about careful planning than quick reflexes. Playing it feels like solving a quiet, self contained puzzle with each new screen.
