About Pinball Challenge Deluxe (e)(mode7)
Pinball Challenge Deluxe for the Game Boy Advance brought the Amiga pinball games Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies to the handheld. Released by Ignition Entertainment, it arrived when the GBA library was full of arcade style games. This compilation offered eight distinct tables, letting you adjust the number of players and choose between three and five balls per game.
You control the flippers, aiming to keep the silver ball in play across scrolling tables. The main objective is to score as many points as possible by hitting ramps, targets, and spinners. Because the full table doesn't fit on the GBA screen, the view constantly scrolls to track the ball's movement. The difficulty varies by table; beginners might prefer Party Land, where the ball is less likely to disappear down the side lanes. It feels like a genuine, portable pinball session, complete with the tension of a scrolling playfield.
