Phantasy Star Collection (e)(patience) Game

Phantasy Star Collection on GBA is basically a nostalgia bomb for old-school RPG fans—it bundles the first three Phantasy Star games from the Sega Master System and Genesis era. You’ve got the original 8-bit dungeon crawler, the more polished sequel, and the one that introduced those weirdly charming chibi sprites.
It’s not just a lazy port, either. The menus are cleaned up, saving’s way less janky than the original carts, and you can actually read the text without squinting. That said, don’t expect fancy remasters—these are still brutally hard, grind-heavy JRPGs with random encounters that’ll wreck you if you’re not prepared. The third game’s still the black sheep of the series, but hey, at least it’s here for completionists.
If you’ve got a soft spot for pixelated wizards and turn-based combat that makes you strategize every move, this collection’s a solid way to kill a weekend.
