You play as Joanna Dark, an agent working for the Carrington Institute. Your main goal is to stop a rival corporation from unleashing a dangerous alien weapon. The game is played screen by screen, moving through corridors and rooms while shooting enemies with a variety of futuristic guns. You also have to complete specific mission objectives, like hacking terminals or rescuing hostages, which adds a layer of strategy beyond just firing. The pacing is methodical; you need to check corners and manage your limited ammo. It can be quite difficult, with enemies that flank you and objectives that are easy to fail if you're not careful. Moving through these tense, contained levels makes the whole experience feel focused and deliberate.
