Alright, so Paws & Claws: Pet Resort on the GBA is basically like running a tiny, pixelated pet hotel—but way cuter than it sounds. You start off with a couple of dogs and cats checking in, and suddenly you’re brushing fur, setting up playdates, and making sure nobody’s sneaking into the wrong food bowl. The sprites are super charming, even if the animations are a little stiff (hey, it’s the GBA).
At first, I thought it’d just be feeding and grooming, but there’s actually a decent amount to juggle—keeping pets happy earns you more customers, and before long, you’re unlocking new toys and upgrades. The mini-games are simple but weirdly satisfying, like giving a pup a bath without getting soaked yourself. And yeah, the music’s got that early 2000s synth-cheerfulness that somehow works.
It’s not super deep, but if you ever wanted to pretend you’re the Mary Poppins of pet care, this’ll scratch that itch. Just don’t blame me when you catch yourself saying “Who’s a good pixel-dog?” out loud.
