About Ozzy & Drix (u)(independent)

Ozzy & Drix was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by Altron and published by Midway Games. It arrived during a period when licensed games based on animated shows were common on the platform, and this one adapts the "Ozzy & Drix" cartoon, which itself was a spin-off from the film Osmosis Jones. You play as the two main characters inside a human body, navigating a world built from organs and cells.

You control both Ozzy, a white blood cell cop, and Drix, his over-the-counter cold pill partner, often switching between them to use their unique abilities. The main goal is to hunt down viruses and other pathogens to restore health to the body, which involves moving through levels laid out screen by screen. Signature mechanics include switching characters on the fly to solve puzzles; Ozzy can punch enemies and use a grappling hook, while Drix shoots projectiles and can freeze water to create platforms. The pacing is methodical, with some backtracking to access new areas once you have the right ability, and the difficulty can spike during boss fights against larger germs. It feels like a straightforward action-platformer where managing two very different characters keeps the exploration engaging.
