Over the Hedge: Hammy Goes Nuts! came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, published by Activision. It was one of those many licensed games that filled the shelves during the GBA's lifespan, based on the animated movie. You control Hammy the squirrel, running and jumping through suburban backyards. The main goal is to gather food items for the animal group while avoiding humans and their traps. The gameplay involves screen by screen exploration, where you climb fences, bounce on trampolines, and use Hammy's hyperactive speed bursts to cross gaps. You also collect acorns and other snacks, which are scattered everywhere and sometimes require careful timing to grab. The pacing is generally quick, though some sections can be tricky with precise platforming needed. It feels like a straightforward, energetic dash through a colorful world.
