About Operation Wolf
Operation Wolf came to the Sega Master System from Taito, a port of their popular arcade light gun game. On the SMS, it was a notable release that tried to capture the feel of the cabinet without the specialized hardware, fitting right into the library of action-heavy titles from that period.
You control a lone operative fighting through enemy territory to rescue hostages. Your goal is to clear six stages, each a single screen where enemies pop up from the jungle, buildings, and vehicles. You aim a crosshair and shoot everything that moves, from soldiers and helicopters to jeeps, while trying not to hit the prisoners. You have a limited supply of ammunition and grenades, which you must replenish by shooting supply crates that appear. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty is relentless, with enemies attacking from all sides. It feels like a constant, frantic test of your aim and reflexes.
