Operation Armored Liberty came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, developed by MTO. It was a late release for the system, arriving when many players were already moving to the Nintendo DS. You control a soldier, part of a special forces unit, sent into hostile territory. The main goal is to dismantle an enemy war machine piece by piece, moving through a series of fortified locations.

You guide your soldier through screen by screen environments, using a mix of firearms and explosives to clear rooms. The game focuses on tactical movement; you can take cover, aim carefully, and use grenades to flush enemies out of position. Each completed area feels like dismantling a part of a larger puzzle, with a steady, deliberate pace that punishes reckless advances. The difficulty is consistent, demanding attention to ammo counts and enemy placement. It feels like a careful, methodical push through enemy lines.
