About Oddworld - Munch's Oddysee (g)(rising Sun)
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, published by THQ. It was part of that era when developers were trying to bring 3D console experiences onto the handheld, and this was the portable version of the original Xbox game.
You control two characters, Abe and Munch, switching between them to solve puzzles. Your main goal is to rescue your fellow creatures, the Fuzzles and Gabbits, from a grim fate. The gameplay revolves around using each character's unique abilities; Abe can chant to possess enemies, while Munch can use a wheelchair to reach new areas and hack security systems. You guide them through levels, avoiding traps and outsmarting guards, often by using your controlled Sligs to shoot other enemies. The pace is deliberate, focused on careful planning rather than quick action, and the puzzles can be quite challenging. It feels like a tense, dark comedy where every successful rescue is a small victory.
